Description: This is a temporary contract that involves a partnership of two universities in London and six Local Authorities, for a study on workforce planning in social work for these six local authorities in London. Use of Data Analysis and programming techniques. Doing a complete lifecycle analysis to include requirements, activities, and design. Analysis and reporting capabilities, as well as performance monitoring and quality control plans to identify improvements.
Collect and simplify data; Optimization of statistical efficiency and quality; Interpret data, analyse results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing reports; Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources; Develop, implement and maintain Databases, data collection systems, data analysis and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality; Identify, analyse and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets; Filter and clean data by reviewing computer reports, impressions and performance indicators to find and fix code problems, using Data Analysis techniques; Work with management to prioritize business and information needs; Locate and define new opportunities for process improvement; Produce reports.
As a Data Analyst and Python programmer, my responsibility in addition to the above is to create a System that can automate the entire process - with information security according to privacy laws and GDPR - that can collect census data in xml format, read these files in different directories and convert them into csv formats using Data Analysis techniques to clean and transform the data (convert columns and records among others), save them in specific directories, where it will generate new datasets for different analysis and decision making , integrating this with Power BI by creating dashboards.
